Save California Salmon is offering tech support to community groups, educators, volunteers, and students in rural Northern California. Support will range from $200-$1,000 and can only be used for technology or PPE to help out organizations that are responding to COVID-19, or education and water protection needs, students, elders and teachers wishing to continue environmental and cultural education, and volunteers that support community education and water protection work. This grant prioritizes water protection, food security and education efforts, but is also available to anyone wishing to aid their community in efforts to move online or stay involved with important policy and learning opportunities. Equipment like hot spots, cell phone boosters, routers, tablets, computers and other tech can be covered. Personal protective equipment or other resources that aids educators and water and land protectors can also be covered. Save California Salmon will buy and deliver, or mail your equipment, but you will need to provide the list of what you need along with a price estimate of cost or a link to what you would like us to buy for you. Internet service and online accounts are also eligible for funding.
